In case some of you are wondering what the standard is this what the docs across the country are going by!! Hopefully in the future the protocols will be seperated into hpv vs non-hpv!! You have to log-in/ Register (it's free); then goto physician clinic guidlines, head and neck cancer!

    Here I sit curled up with dog, tv and iPhone. Yeah, my grandmother went out to dinner and dancing. It is sad when your 86 year old grandmother has plans on Friday night and gets hit on and I don't. Off to read your article. Nothin else to do. Lol.

    Hey Gypsie,

    I agree with you 100+%; cancer sucks big time!! I also agree that life does suck at times, (and here's the however) however, at least we are here to complain about it. I often say in a variety of situations, "I'm happy just to be here." I'm 10 years out (base of tongue), and it does get better. I have said to myself on gazillions of occasions, when I'm feeling very lousy about something cancer related, "I can do this, for just this moment/second," and some days are better than others. But, yeah, cancer sucks... Hang in there, you'll be out partying before you know it. For now, try Craig Ferguson's Late, Late show for some laughs. Here's hoping that the rest of your w/e gets better!

    I think that you will be out having a good time before you know it. I was the caregiver and the way I spent my Friday night was laying on the floor with a black and white cat laying on me. The only guy that has hit on me live 6 hours away, but at least I did talk to him yesterday. But, it was only about a TV issue at work. I give up!!!

    So not holding my breath waiting for that to happen. I've resigned myself to the fact that I will probably just be alone.

    Treatment Sucks
    I don’t know about the Cancer but the treatment for Cancer Sucks, I hurt every day from the side affects of the treatment. You would think with how smart man is today that there would be some new type of treatment other then just Radiation and Chemo

    Just teasing, but I'm sure in time, you'll both find that special someone that rocks your world. I can't imagine going through this without someone special. I know that Shelley was the best ever and I appreciate the fact that she was/is here for me.
