YAHOO...... 0.5 on my WBC and are you ready drum roll please..... 0.1 my Gran, all joking aside, at least there is something.... my RBC counts did not move.... got two more shot's, back in isolation... hahahaha... Still on the old 100.5 fever, rush yourself to the hospital alert. Something else, just wanted to thank everyone on this site, new and old, for all your love and support...... it really helps deal with the long battle we all face!!!! Great
    Hi Vinny,
Thats great news. Every little bit up the mountain counts. I will continue to send positive energy your way. The day will come when your back to normal, then you will really have to celebrate. My normal is always at the lowest point of lab norms. So, I do get tired very quickly. I will try to rest on the trip, but it won't be easy. I stocked up on hand sanitizer. LOL...
    Peaceful healing

    BLOOD COUNTS ON THE RISE.
HOT DANG!!!!! GOTTA WATCH MY LANGUAGE,DIDN'T WRITE WHAT I REALLY WANTED TO SAY. At least they are showing some upward movement. Thats a lot better than nothing, right? The rbc's are made in the bone marrow just like the other blood cells, so some activity is going on. Those grans are going to grow into some sort of blood cell. Now we know the bone marrow did not shut down. Maybe now that some progress is showing it will move a little faster. Oh yea you have to watch that temperature. I got a slight elevation after my 1st treatment up to 100 degrees, but my normal is 97.8. To me that was a temp.,but to the center it wasn't. To me that would have been 100.8 since I run sub-normal anyway. But who am I to say. John

    Hey it's something
At least it's something and not a complete shutdown. Onward and upward Vinny. Lots of rest and the shots should help. I used to hate the "any fever go to the nearest ER" talk. LOL always scared me so bad. Oh and I so remember the waiting rooms full of all the coughers that I figured had to have at least TB if not typhoid fever. Anyone with a mask was suspect even though I knew they were probably protecting themselves. I really thought I was becoming major OCD but I didn't in the end. I am normal with it all now.....sort of. Still use the hand sanitizer. But I do so remember how it felt and it was all during the H1N1 thing last winter. I was a basket case. Have a great weekend and as always you have my support and prayers. Mary

    Cramps
    Vinny,
I know what you mean about the cramps. I only get them in the legs and thats when I am sleeping. Darn if that won't make you hop out of bed in a hurry. Those charlie horses have a fast way of turning a dream into a nightmare quick. No cramps in the hands or feet. I did have a short case of neuropathy after my 2nd treatment in my hands. I could not hold a cup of coffee without shaking and spillng it. It only lasted about 3 days, thank goodness. Be thinking about those blood counts over the weekend for you. As they go up you should notice a difference in your enery level anyway. It will get better so hang in there as hard as it may be. John

    Cramps
I drink so much water during the day and I am constantly standing over the toilet watching the tiny bubbles. That last about 2 weeks or so. I live out in the boondocks of North Carolina so sometimes I just find a pine tree. Somebody has to teach my dogs, right? I cut the water level at night because if I don't I will be up 2-3 times during the night. I would be better off catherizing myself before I go to bed. I drink at least 2 of those 2 litre bottles of water during the day. Just keep refilling the bottles and putting them in the fridge over night. I drink a lot of soda even though I know its not good for anybody. I used to walk a lot, but now if I walk to far I get pain in the hips, right at the joint. I assume it is from the neulasta shots. Wonder if anybody else has those hip pains as well? Be talking to you. John

Mine were HORRIBLE. My onc had me take magnesium supplements and that did help some.

    Me too
    Hi All,
I have had those cramps in the legs and also the toes. I have tried everything from relaxing to very hot moist towels. The towels seem to bring relief the fastest. But it is agony till the water gets hot enough to make a difference.
I am so sorry that you guys are dealing with cramps on top of everything else.
I'll be praying for peaceful nights ahead..
