Im seeing so many new breast cancer survivors joining this board recently....so i thought it would be fun to do another round of introductions...You dont have to answer anything you dont want to...
What is your name, how did you choose your screen name, how old are you, what state are you from and whatever else you'd like to add!

I will start...My name is Misty. I got my scene name from my middle name being Jo, which everyone calls me Jo Jo or Misty, so no creativity there. Im 42 and i live in Iowa actually on the border of Iowa and nebraska (Most of my treatments are in Omaha)...and yes there is more to Iowa and NE than farms...we do have cities...hehe!

    My name is
Evon and I chose my screen name because I was a boss and my last name used to be Bosserman so combining my first name in a creative and sometimes my employees would call me evolboss.I am from a suburb East of Cleveland Ohio and I was diagnosed with stage 3 IBC Oct. 10th of 2010, so glad I got on here today it is my first time using this site and so far everyone seems so great. Oh yeah and I am 41, great smile Jo Jo.

I'm Susan, Rague is my Appaloosa mare (Yes that is her full registered name - Her dam was Red Tomatoe so her breeder named her after Ragu spaghetti sauce but added the e from her dam's 'Tomatoe' [plus have to have at least 5 letters in the registered name LOL]). I'm IBC, I'm 64. I live in western SD on the prairie just ENE of the Black Hills. Married to the same guy (who is retired USN) for 34 years.

    Enchante!
    Hi,

my name is Ayse (pronounced eye-she (as in shed), my origin is turkish but
grew up in germany and came all by my adventurous self to America.

I had a lumpectomy, then chemo and then decided on a mastectomy. I am nearing
the end of my treatments and can't wait!

My favorite season is fall and I love to eat (espcecially different cusines). I read too.. = )

I just recently discovered that I left my heart in NYC and am planning to make my way
back there. I feel like a fish out of water in AZ, a fish out of water with cancer.. a fish
out of water with cancer who's dreaming of NYC!

    yep that's me!

    I'm Lorraine
and I have 4 grown kids that all surf (we live in Sebastian, Florida) and because I hung out on the beach taking video and pictures of the surfers they gave me the nickname "Mama G". I"m pretty much everybody's other mother around here. and I love it.
I am YUCK 60, but still think I'm 20 in too many ways. BC stole my youth, though. as well as my belief that I was NEVER going to get cancer in my life!!! even though my brother died at 21, my dad at 67, my sister at 58, I was going to beat the odds! BS! Now I'm the uniboober who is trying to make the best of whatever is left of my time on this beautiful earth. I'm a 5th gr science teacher, too. I LOVE LIFE!!! and Kelly Slater...

    Hello....I'm Sharon

My name is Sharon. My screen name? I chose my name..LOL. I'll have to think of something more exciting. I was diagnosed on September 1st, 2010, after having my very first mammogram, and I am going in for mastectomy surgery (bilateral) on October 8th. I just turned 42. Just married my high school sweetheart after 30 years of him asking. Between us we have 7 grown kids and two grandbabies! Life is good now, so this Cancer needs to Make Tracks and leave us alone! We live in Georgia!

    Hi!! I'm April
This actually kind of fun!! My name is April...I was diagnosed on July 15 approx 4 months after my husband got his stem cell transplant!! We live in Orange, Ca and have a 23 year old daughter and a 17 year old son. Looks like I will be having a lumpectomy sometime around Christmas time and am doing the chemo treatments prior to surger. I am on TC and have had 2 of 6 treatments.

I chose my screen name because many of our friends know us as the gadget family because of my husband's home automation business.

    Hi....I'm Nancy
I live in North Carolina and work(ed) for myself as a residential home improvement contractor. Weird job for a woman, I know. I use to race bicycles before I had to have a total knee replacement last year and the manufacturer of my road bike was LOOK; so hence the screen name lookrider. I am 53, married with two dogs. I was dx this past July with IDC, followed with bilateral mastectomy, axillary node dissection, and now the dreaded tamoxefin.

Hi all, my name is Jennifer,
Hi all, my name is Jennifer, Jenn to pretty much everyone. I am 39 and was diagnosed in July of this year. I have Stage II IDC. I've had the lumpectomy and am about to have my 3rd chemo treatment with bunches more to come. I chose my screen name ages ago because of my bulldog, Katie. Winsome means: sweetly or innocently charming, winning, engaging. Katie is all those. She's also the smartest dog I have ever known in my life. I keep telling my husband that if she had opposable thumbs she'd be ruling the world by now. LOL

I was born and raised in the Mid-South (Born in Memphis, raised in northern Mississippi). I met my Yankee husband and followed him up here to Indiana. We live in South Eastern Indiana, along the Ohio River about half way between Cincinnati and Louisville.

I have been so grateful for this site and everyone here, as it has been my go-to resource when I have any question or concern. You are all the best!

    Blessings,

    Jenn

Hi, I'm Kris and I live in Texas. I'm currently taking chemo for stage 3 breast cancer. I am a single parent of a very active six year old and we live out here with no family.

Part of my screen name came from writings I use to do when I was younger(butterfly) and (evolving)because I'm forever in a state of change. At least that's what I pray for..

What!! There are cities in Iowa? :)

when I was a kid my dads job transferred us to Indiana. My first day of school there the kids got to ask me questions.... more than one kid asked if we had horses and they were shocked when I told them Id never even been on a horse (I have now lol) and were even more shocked that we had cars. The kids really thought we had no cars and that we rode around on horses. LOL
