From where or whom do you derive your strength?

This was posted by another CSN'ER on the BC board, I liked it and decided to re-post it here. Here is my answer:

My strength comes from family, especially my husband, my faith in God, my fantastic medical team, my loving pets, my friends at home and my CSN family.

Okay it's your turn now,

    I'm Popeye the sailor man
I eat me spinach in a can!
I don't eat much spinach but I like spinach pizza!

Or Samson would say it was his long hair!
He should have hid the scissors.

Sorry RE, I couldn't resist. I'm not a strong person.

    Besides the obvious...
I get much of my strength from my kids. Also from my sense of humor.

    made me think!
My strength for my battle comes from my daughter, age 30, who had cancer at age 5. She was so young and defenseless, how could this cancer inhabit her. Her beautiful red hair was gone but not her amazing spirit. I cried and she hardly ever did. She lost her shoulder in her surgery for Ewings Sarcoma but continues to wear sleeveless and bathing suit. So positive, she is my strength. I love you Erin. I will remain strong because you showed me how. She is a survivor and so will I be!

    Why any of us?
Its a question without an answer. I was dx in Feb 2010 with Esophagael Cancer. Surgery followed by chem. My scan in Aug showed no signs of cancer but I know this is long haul.I pray everday also, so much to pray for. I know God is a good listener! I pray for those praying for me. My daughter continues to be a huge source of strength. God bless...
