Morning, thought it was time for a week dedicated to our Pet care givers....

I have two chocolate labs (sisters), Kali & Jasmine...they were there with me through thick and thin. So this week is dedicated to them.

Buster was my daughters bull dog, a female of only 7 years....

Love you guys & gals,
John

This is one of my cats Jack,
This is one of my cats Jack, I think he sleeps more than I. He was my sleeping buddy through treatments and kept me company at home.

I use to have two black labs, picked them up from a lab rescue unit here in Maryland. They have passed but man do I love labs. Too bad the wife isn't a dog lover ;(

    Great idea!!!
This is a great idea John. As all of us with pets know..they helped us through our treatments with their unconditional love and cuddles. I have a yellow and a black lab and they never left my side during treatment, not that they did before ;-) If I napped on the couch they were there with me, when I went to bed they slept with me, they were always at my side.

Will try to post the picture of Jughead, my yellow lab. I don't always have good luck when I try to change my profile picture - lol.

    Stay well,
    Glenna

Just took this picture this morning, Jughead was all curled up with my afghan on the couch...notice the guilty look??? He knows he's not supposed to be on the couch - lol

    Cady the mule
In my photo is Cady, the mule. She's carried me through thick and thin. Actually, when I got her, her name was Katie, but that's my daughter's name, so we had to change it. Now the mule thinks we all have a speech impediment.

This Saturday we're going to a Play Day with our horse group, and I'll be riding around with eggs on spoons and such.

Great idea, John. Here is Bodie, my four legged caregiver. Not the strongest or smartest, but totally devoted. Don't know what he'll do when I get a job, and have to leave him every day. In the meantime, he makes sure I get outdoors to get my vitamin D and exercise, makes sure I don't overeat by sharing whenever I fix chicken, green beans, carrots and sweet potatoes (but NEVER broccoli), and on the days that I forget, he reminds me that I'm useful and tells me I'm wonderful.

    200#'s of Dog
Here's Elvis and Blaze. My two best buds. No longer with us, but puts a smile on my face every time I think of them.

I'm assuming it's true what they say about looking like your pet. If I hadn't read the title of this thread I wouldn't have realized it was about pets. I just assumed it was another one started by Skiffen. I couldn't tell the difference, I thought it was you John (well maybe she's a bit cuter than you).

I'm thinking about volunteering at a local no-kill shelter so I'm sure I'll have a new buddy soon.

Give all your pets a hug and scratch your spouse on the belly for me!

    Positive thoughts to all!

    Nose
She does kind of have my nose....LOL, with a few freckles added.

I'll have to post one of Ebony also this week...she was our Black female lab...she taught us all of the lab tricks.

Kali & Jazz never (hardly) get over because Ebby taught us well.

Ebony passed a few years ago, but she is still in our thoughts daily and will always be with us in heart and spirit. When she passed it was one of the hardest emotions to get through, she was truly a huge part of the family.

    Best,
    John

    Another Chocolate
Don't know if you could tell but Blaze was a choc lab also. Prettiest dog I've ever seen, not the sharpest tool in the shed but that's been said about me also. She was my fishin' partner. Elvis, the German Shepard, was a big (130#) sweetheart. He used to let the neighborhood kids ride him around like a pony. Miss 'em both!

Thanks John, but I already cropped it down and I have tried 6 other pictures and I just flat can't get it to change. I have 2 black labs, 1 fox terrier, 1 jack russel, and 1 half pit half dalmation. All but 1 have found their way to my house in the country. My Dog is a black lab that is AKA and I bought him. The rest are really my wife's (kind of). We have had a beautiful Rot that walked up almost dead, one of the best dogs I have ever had, and has since died of cancer and one blind mut that my wife brought home and it was like one of those toys that run into something and turn and go the other way, and I told my wife hey that dog is blind! Just a few in a long line of animals that have found their way here. We won't mention how many cats she has and has had.

    Steve,
I had same issues. One of these young kids outta be able to help or maybe Skiffen (yeah, that was an "old guy" joke). But I think someone suggested: delete your old pic, then shut down computer. Fire it back up and then upload the new pic. Worked this time for me.
