    I'll ask her tonight
We're going out to celebrate her birthday. I know that su padre es de Cuba, pero su madre esta de Espana. (Excuse my terrible Spanish!)

    I'll report back tomorrow.

The picture of the paella is amazing! It is absolutely gorgeous. I haven't had paella for some time; I think I want some soon (though it won't be as authentic as this!).

    corrections and updates for Pepe
Okay, Pepe - not paprika, but Pimenton (from Spain). The rice and the broth base were also from Spain, and Clara will be picking up more supplies when she is in Spain this weekend.

Clara was born in the US. Her mother is from Madrid. Her father was born in Cuba to parents from Northwestern Spain (and boy, is his English hard to understand!)

    Does she pass the exam?

    Hasta luego!

    what about your
    Dutch Kathi?

I started when I first met my beau...
His parents were still living at that point, and his dad couldn't speak English. So I figured one of us needed to learn a new language, so I started slowly learning Dutch...

Now, I read the newspaper, and can communicate fairly well with everyone...altho many dutch people speak English. Funny thing, I find myself speaking Dutch to my American friends, and English to my Dutch friends....LOL! I still need help with writing...the sentence structure is different...

Maar, het ga ik ook goed met hulp!

    Hugs, Kathi
