has anyone heard from them. She was questioning treatment for her husband and I was wondering if she found out anything. Last contact said she was out of the country, getting a little concerned. thanks everyone

    Concerned also
Have not seen anything in quite some time. Just thought I'd answer this to keep the thread up where they might notice it.

    Hi

I havent been on for a while, trying to "rest my busy head"

My wife decided to stop erbitux after 3 months , having pushed herself to the point of zero tolerance. It has taken much time for the burney skin to subside and her cracked up toe is still painful and slightly infected. The truth is that she never really found anything that helped. She did find a cream called Nivea Soft, which she could tolerate, but had to apply it every three hours.

They will assess again after her next PET CT in a month from today.
She cannot really eat or drink without coughing but says that she is bordering on feeling "normal" for the first time in 4 years.

I am so touched that you two have related to my absence.
This has been such a lonely journey. I appreciate it more than i am able to expess.

I hope you two are well
    Thank you so much.

    Lonely Journey
It doesn't necessarily need to be that lonely. Many people that care and are here when needed.

    Best,

    Aloe Vera ?
    Hi Clear,

Welcome back and glad to have you back. On your wife's skin problems, no doubt you probably have but just in case have you tried Aloe Vera Gels ? If that wasn't working you should perhaps actually get the fresh plant and slice it and put on directly. The sap will stain any clothing but this stuff is magic. I'm not sure where you live but many people have it in their garden or you can buy potted aloe vera plants. You can also get the liquid and have her drink that. It also has powerful healing properties.

I hope things get better for her. Stay with us CB.

    Kind words
    Clear,

I remember when I first came on this site you always had encouraging and kind words when you responded to my threads. As John said you shouldn't feel lonely. There are lots of us here who care for one another and you and your wife are definitely in our close knit group.

I hope everything goes well for her and it sounds encouraging that she is feeling more normal.

I'm moving towards that new normal. Don't know if I really like that term, but that is the reality of this. 4 1/2 months out and doing well. Just can't seem to gain any weight back, but trying to keep up-beat and keep laughing!

    Keep in touch.

    Positive thoughts coming your way.

Right now I'm like the drunk in the neightborhood bar, bumming smokes and drinks from everyone, but I'm bumming boat rides.
