Has anyone had sleepy bowel problems? I'm on reglan but it doesn't seem to work well. I've had a sonogram and x-rays to rule out blockage. How does one get rid of a large bloated stomach?? Thanks for any help you can pass one.

Try a teaspoon of flax seed
Try a teaspoon of flax seed fiber each day, you can build this up to a tablespoon over time, after several days of using it I started to see a big difference in output. I use the omega 3 brand, but you can even find it at walmart in with the baking stuff, I just put mine in water and kind of drink/chew it down, has a pleasant flavor, you can cook with it, put on salads, in yogart etc. What I like about it is it is natural.

    sleepy bowel
thank you for your input. I'll look into flax seed oil. The real problem is my bowel is asleep. I've taken sennacot and other laxatives but it just sits there not doing a thing. The dr gave me a prescription for Reglan to help wake the bowels, but it hasn't worked. So I still have a bloated stomach because it just doesn't move anything through. After being on Reglan then it does slightly leak but that's not the result I was hoping for. Any other suggestions??

    gastroparesis
Ok, after doing some research, it sounds like Reglan has plenty of unwanted side effects after long term use. I've also read that Domperidone does work well. Has anyone experienced this drug. They usually give it to people with Parkinson's disease. Still searching for the right drug.
