Well, it's late in the day. I wonder if Sue started her chemo today? First day is sooo long. :)

Hope she's doing ok.

    Sue too!
I thought I would get home from work and see a post. I thought about her several times during the day. I hope all is well too. I'll wait some more.

    Maybe
Maybe she and her hubby are taking the rest of the day to light up the town before treatments start.

I am concerned about her though. It's not like her to not post something.

    I agree
You're right. Not like Sue to not post. I hope they are out to dinner and relaxing as they digest the information they got today. Sending good thoughts her way...

    Sorry guys...
I didn't get out of the doctors until after noon and then ran some errands since I was all cleaned up..ha! Once I put make-up on and fix my hair I try to make a day of it and get all of my running around done while I'm lookin half way decent. Hate to waste good make-up and a spiffy hair do on just doctors...ha! I probaly shouldn't have been driving around as much as I did cuz I don't remember half of what I did from thinking about everything the doctor had said. Hell I probably ran a few lights for all I know. Funny how we can switch to auto pilot when our minds get so full up. I'm flat out exhausted tonight now. Thanks for caring you guys...(As my grandkids would say)"your the bomb"!ha!

    No need to be sorry.
The Mother hens were just circling and thinking out loud. Glad to know you got through that first appointment. The amount of information you receive can be staggering and takes awhile to process. Then it's all about more questions. I remember trying so hard to absorb it all and then just shutting down after awhile. Trust me all will become much clearer during your upcoming appointments. It is also so true that the decision to treat is based on so many factors. One big one is the tumors getting too big and putting pressure on surrounding areas. That does not mean your Lymphoma is worse just that is has been there awhile. The Rituxan and any of the usual chemo drugs are very effective at getting those no matter their size. The whole process is truly a journey and you're now getting the correct maps...always a good thing to have before you begin. Continued good luck and many good thoughts are coming your way. Mary

    Hi Mary,
You are right on about why my doctor doesn't want to do a "watchful waiting" and instead start chemo now. These darn tumors in my neck seem to be pressing on certain muscles and nerves and by starting chemo now she hopes to shrink them down and eliminate the discomfort they are causing at present time. The trade off of course will be the new discomfort from chemo. I figure I'm going to have to start chemo one day no matter what, so now is as good as time as any. It's weird how I'm already finding myself a degree more peaceful just knowing we are going to be moving forward. I'm anxious(in a happy way) to see the chemo nurse tomorrow and learn all about the type of cocktail I'll be getting. I just love getting the facts...it balances out my Libra scales...and we know how important that balance is!!!...ha! I'll share everything I find out!

Do we need to make you a list of questions to take tomorrow?? LOL. We CAN you know and will happily do so.

The line at the amusement park is shortening up Sue, and soon the whirlwind hit be in full spin. I do understand the anxiousness to get started. You've done great so far honey....better than you realize!!

Lets see, the attitude you need for tomorrow needs to be along the age of a 4 year old..............question EVERYTHING, and multiple times if you need it. They are there FOR you.

Good luck, and let me know if you need the list :)

    Hi dixiegirl...
I have a pretty good list of questions already prepared.Plus...I talked to my family doctor today and he wants me to discuss "watchful waiting" with the nurse tomorrow. He feels it's still something that needs to be considered. I'll let you all know what happens. Dang...it's another day of putting on make-up...twice in one week is a record for me!..ha!

    Wed. Appointment
    Hi Sue,
I can't remember, have you thought about going for a second opinion. I usually go for at least 3, one at a major medical center or University hospital. And with so many treatment options it's always good to shop around. And highly recommended for lymphomas. Just a thought, sorry if I over stepped as not my intention.
