Colonoscopy today--good news this time!

Last August I had a routine colonoscopy and found out I had colon cancer. I had colon resection surgery, followed by chemotherapy (FOLFOX) that finally ended in April.

Today I had another colonoscopy--same doctor, same location, same friend driving me. This time when the doctor came to talk to me after the procedure, he was smiling broadly as he said, "Everything looked perfect!" No tumors, no polyps, no problems at all! He said the resection site/scar looked great.

I'm so relieved and so happy--I think I'd been worrying about this more than I realized, and I'd been sure he was going to find something.

Thank you for the congrats, everyone! I'm so relieved. Even though I was trying to think positive, I was still worrying. Now I think I can relax and enjoy the rest of the summer!
