edited March 2014 in Prostate Cancer #1
In January 2010 my PSA was 978 and in early February I had a biopsy and bone scan done. Biopsy was positive with a gleason of 3+3 and bone scan also came back with mets to pelvis, femur and spine. February 22 I underwent orchiectomy surgery and started daily casodex treatment. As of June 1st my PSA went to 0.1 and I am living an almost normal life again.
Each and every day I have is more precious than ever before and I understand that a cure is no longer possible but survival is my primary concern. I am determined to stay positive and I pray for each and everyone here to have the strength to continue this journey and face each day with optimism. Please pray for me too

    Welcome
I certainly wish you did not qualify to be a part of this PCa world, but welcome just the same. Please ask questions and use us to vent if you need to. There are a lot of men and significant others who post here, and some with a similar experience may be able to offer their experiences.
I'm in the world of DaVinci and followup radiation, so have a different path, but we all end up watching our PSA tests.
My best wishes, and again, welcome.

I am 57 and thank you, and everyone here, for your concern. I very much needed to find a place to communicate my thoughts and share experiences.

    Griff,
I am having DaVinci on 8/11/10 in St Louis. I have been waiting weeks now and it is driving me crazy. I have a very good idea what to expect as far as recovery goes thanks to the forums I visit. I really want to get back to work as soon as I can so I am interested in things I can do now to help with recovery when the time comes. You know daytime TV sucks and I would rather be at work than home during the day.
