    Hi Minnie
I'm glad you're still here; are you? What do doctors know anyway? They're kind of like the weatherman...they can make predictions, but how often are they really correct? I'm sorry the last few months have been hard for you. I am helping my mom through the end stages of her liver cancer, the doctors say she may make it until autumn, but again who knows really but the one above. Tell me about yourself, and I will talk with you as often as I can. I'm usually on the boards at least once a day, and never mind being a willing ear. If I don't see any response tonight, will check in again tomorrow. Have some peaceful sleep tonight; dream in the arms of love and light. At least one Angel will have you close. (((hugs)))

    Hi Minnie!
Just read your post and I, too, am glad that you are still here! I like the fact that you respond to everyone's post and enjoy them. This is such a good place to be! I don't post enough, but read the expressions gallery and discussion boards everyday and always find something positive.

Is your name Minnie? I'm Michele and I too have a brain tumor - a grade II Astrocytoma in my left temporal lobe. Well, I did have one and had surgery in August of last year that removed half of it and stereotactic radiosurgery in December. I go today to find out what the results of the radiation are. Kind of nervous, but excited. I have been fortunate to not have many problems because of the tumor or the surgery. I've been able to work and have two kids (7 and 15) that keep me busy - I'm a single mom.

I have three dogs, with my oldest and dearest one being a female, and her name is Minnie. She also has a tumor, but hers is in her breast tissue. She is also hanging in there. I'll see if I can get a picture of her posted on here.

Just wanted to let you know that I am thinking about you and do wish you peace. Take care!

    Hi Minnie,
This is Leon, who's named after my father who died of cancer. He was a great dad, and his name lives on in a great cat.

When I want to laugh I go to LOL cats at "icanhascheezburger.com"
It's a great place to enjoy other people's kittehs. That's how they spell it in catspeak.

    Hi Lori/Minnie
I'm sorry I couldn't get back to you sooner....
I'm 32, 33 in June and have 5 older brothers and sisters. I live with my mom (61) and dad (78) right now and am unemployed. Although lots of people would agree that caregiving is a full-time job, I'd love to be even working part-time outside of the house just to be me for a few hours. My mom too has anxiety a lot, mostly due to the fact that she's worried about how my dad and I will get by after she's gone, but she's not one to discuss her emotions too much. But all I can do is reassure her that things will be ok, 'we're adults' I tell her.
Do you like any particular shows on tv? If we have any in common, we could always talk shop! Or talk about any music or books...anything you want. I understand the need for distraction from your own troubles. Do your friends and family come see you enough to help ease your depression? I barely get away from my mom, and her 2 friends don't come to see her, but mostly that's because she just doesn't have the energy for company. And she can't get out much, although she desparately wants to. She too has trouble with hand mobility, but that's because her chemo gave her neuropathy (never pain) in her hands and feet and she can't tell when she's typing or even when she's dialing a phone number correctly.
I think about you and send my comfort to you across the miles. Are you in Minnesota, like the MN implies? Where'd you get the nickname Minnie?
Prayers to you for sleep and peace, and lots of hugs.
