I just found out today, my moms cancer has spread to her brain. It started out as just cervical cancer, I can not believe this. I am only 23 and she is only 38. I am the oldest of 9, my youngest sister is only 7 months old. They are moving her to hospice today, they don't even think she has a month left. Last night she had a stroke and they did not think she would make it through but she did.... she did not get her annual pap smears for a few years and only found out she was in stage 4 cancer when she was pregnant with her last child. Her mom dies of cancer when she was 38 and now she is 38 dying of cancer. I just think about my lil bros and sis that will be left behind, I just do not know how to deal. I have 2 of my own kids and right now I am 1000 miles away from my mom so I am having a hard time dealing with it. I do not know if I will be able to get back down there before its 2 late, but I know I have to.... this is so hard

    I feel you
    Hey Girlie,

I am really sorry to hear about your situation. It's really tough. I am 22 years old. My mom is also dying. Doctors say she has about 3 months to live. But we are not giving up yet. We are trying different things, different clinical trials, and natural supplements.

Did your mother ever try clinical trials or supplements?

I know this is a really hard time, but you have to be strong for your mom, your siblings, your kids and of course yourself. Have you asked the doctors if it would be possible to surgically remove the mets in her brain? At this point you have to nag the docs and make sure they are REALLY doing everything they can.

My mom has a glioblastoma grade IV....which is the MOST agressive type of brain cancer. We are hoping to start radiation within the next few days. In addition to that I have her on natural supplements such as Borage oil (which contains GLA - currently give her 1500 mg per day of GLA), melatonin (15 mg a day) and looking for other supplements that have shown promising results with cancer patients. You might want to consider giving your mom some? It might help at least some. At this point ..... where docs have told us that our moms are going to die......anything is worth a shot. Even thought these things are not toxic or known to cause bad side effects just verify your mother is not allergic or anything to them. JUST AS A SAFETY precaution.
