Hi everyone. I am so glad I found this site! I think I've learned more here than from my doctors. A bit nervous about tomorrow. Please keep me in your thoughts and prayers.

    Hi Carol
Good luck tomorrow. I believe most of us feel that way. Alot of times, unless you ask, there's alot docs don't tell you. This site & the people here are simply awesome!
Nervous is normal. You'll probably find that the first one is not as bad as you thought it would be. Once you know what to expect, it makes the rest a little easier. Be sure to drink ALOT of water & stay on top of the anti-nausea meds.
Thoughts & prayers headed your way

    I remember being terrified,
I remember being terrified, ( Not just nervous ). It'll be okay. I finished my fourth and last chemo last week and although I don't want to do it again, I really can't believe how quickly it went. As said, drink, and rest. The ladies on this site will get you through any and all questions. Good Luck.

I think you'll do just fine, Carol
My beloved Moopy had 6 rounds of TAC, beginning in early January 2009, and ending early in May 2009. It wasn't a walk in the park, to be sure, but she came through with flying colors and so can you. If you go to my home page on this site, you will find a blog I kept during the first three rounds to track how Moopy did. Your mileage will vary - everyone's does with this Godawful stuff - but it might prove helpful by giving you some ideas of what you might expect. Good luck and God Bless!

    Deep breaths!
What a wonderful husband you are, Joe, and a real dear to share this with Carol.

Carol, I remember my first treatment day feeling like the scariest thing I ever did in my life. Remembering how terrible I felt for people having to have chemo and there I was! I did having something to eat before I went because I heard that helped. I brought lots of of water and drank a bottle of it before I went. They gave me a relaxant intravenously and explained it was like a high dose of Xanex. A friend came with me and she wound up going for a walk because she said it looked like I could sleep. Boy, did I! She came back and my mouth was wide open, that's how deeply I slept, lol. I did fine and I'm sure you will too. We work ourselves up so much! Just take deep breaths and let it out slowly.

Please let us know how you are.

    Hugs, Mar

Hope all went well. I've into my 4th round. The chemo goes well, it's the Newlasta shot the next day that does me in. But just do like everyone here tells you,, plenty of water and rest and you'll be fine!
