April is Espophageal Cancer Awareness Month in Delaware

Good News - Jack Markell, the Governor of Delaware, and Matt Denn, Lt. Governor of Delaware just issued a proclamation declaring April Esphophageal Cancer Awareness Month in the State of Delaware.

    Hi Cindy,
    Congrats for sure!! that is wonderful, havent' been so lucky here in Maryland. Hoping for a National Esophageal Cancer Awareness Month for April and some public service announcements and more TV coverage. My congressman wrote me back and mentioned health care bills but nothing of what I had asked that he try to get April here named for EC Awareness. take care and congrats again.

    MD did it last year--ECAN.Org
    MD did it last year--headed up by Mindy Mordecai at ECAN.org
    (Esophageal Cancer Action Network). I wonder if it was the first state that has done it? I did see that Canada has an EC month (or maybe week?)
