We are all here for the same reason. To fight this hideous, helacious **** of a disease. No matter our race, religion, beliefs, creed, dice we roll, crap we flap, we all want to beat this monster. I want this board to come together and be what it was when I joined. Colon cancer board rocked the breast cancer board by huge numbers now they are down. This is Colon cancer month. Tomorrows blue day and we need to get ourselves pulled together. We are so much better than all the goo. Let's do this thing, the way we know how to do it.
Move this FORWARD together we will beat and find a cure.

    Are they getting better; cured? (I hope so!) There has to be a reason
    for their board to go vacant! Maybe they're too busy reading our
    board! Or......Maybe they're just bored? Yeah, bored.

    Seriously, this board is about as together as it gets! Everyone
    has differences! Hell, I've been married since 1963, and I can't
    count the times we've had differences.

    (Oh sure, the court actions were kinda' upsetting, and when she
    changed her name to "plaintiff", it was hurtful, but still......)

    We're doing good here, don't let the political/religious debacles
    get to you; we get over things quick around here.

    You are so very, very correct. Many didn't see it because it was taken down so quickly but the post I read late Monday night was horrible. I couldn't believe what was posted. Ethnic slurs are not freedom of speech, it is ethnic intimidation, and totally unacceptable in civilized society. The American Cancer Society does wonderful work. This board does wonderful work, it has brought us much comfort and information, I am forever greatful for each and every one of its members for sharing. I do wish that people who have gone into remission would come on, if only once in a while, we need their stores of hope and the information they possess. Have a great one everyone - Tina

    I totally agree with you, Cass! I've been "cured" (my doc's words, not mine~but I do love them! lol) since 2002 from Stage 4, and I still cruise back here to offer a word or two of encouragement.

    I saw the post in question through other means, and it was ridiculous. I agree with the saying that Freedom of Speech is not a license to be a moron!

    Happy Friday everyone! Spring is right around the corner and THAT alone is reason to CELEBRATE!

    As you know, I was diagnosed at Stage 1, so I'm really in good shape as far as the cancer is concerned, but I try to come by just about every day to offer encouragement or comfort when I can. I also learn things I can share with friends who have cancer.

    This board has meant a lot to me and continues to do so!

    For those who have strayed because of being tired of feelings being hurt or having to listen to things you don't want to here please come back to the board this is what we are here for. Please don't click on the person you know whose words of wisdom bother you. I miss you, I know the others miss you and that is why our numbers are down. You came to get acceptance say your peace and get answers and that is what its all about sharing and caring. The rest is out the door. Lets Rock the Semis harder than we ever have.

    This has nothing to do with Semis but was in the hospital this week with my husband having kidney problem and stones and they drained his kidneys that were about to rupture and placed a stint. Now he has to wait a week until they can go back in to blow up the stones. He said he feels like he has to pee every 2 minutes. My mom told him now he knows how Nana feels on a daily basis.

    I hate that feeling
    I had that feeling when I had my radiation treatments but it was the other end and to say the least "It Sucked". Tell your hubby I said good luck to him.

    I'm not going anywhere! I can still taste my fear when first diagnosed. I didn't know whether to post or not to post, but as soon as I did, it was like, the semi colons had known me all my life!

    I was accepted, and carried through to the point I am now. THANK YOU!
