So what was in the post that would be offensive enough to delete the whole thread AND the person who deleted it to NOT respond. I use this board rarely now because the allear to have a serious bias against people that share terir faith. To delete a thread without offering a explanation and hiding behind the TOU is malicious. I love the colon club because we share and discuss openly ALL things, share out faith viewpoints without being censored, have a prayer thread that over two thousand have visited, almost two hundred have requested prayer for their loved ones......it's been exceptional really.

    I think
I think it is very offensive for someone to claim a thread is offensive, and not be grown up enough to respond.I think that person should just leave this website, and go some where else where they won't be offended. If you don't want to get wet, stay out of the rain.that's just my opinion.

    Be careful what you assume
I have been a member of this board for over 6 years now and have to say I have never seen so much underhanded and nasty bickering against fellow survivors as some of you do. I find it disgusting and am now amazed that some of you are actually defending a post that you never ever saw or read. You are just assuming what it was about and “since he is on my side”, it had to be okay. As Forrest Gump said, “stupid is as stupid does”.

I have never flagged a post on here but have to tell you that John’s post defending hate and as he calls it “being sarcastic” comparing some of our posters to religious cult leaders had absolutely nothing to do with why we are here and THAT is why it was removed. I read it and it upset me so much I immediately logged off my computer but could not put it out of my mind so I came back to flag it and thankfully it was already removed.

I also find it disheartening that so many have supported John in writing what he did about Greta and her simply doing her job. Greta happens to be a personal friend of mine and she does more for us survivors in a week than most of us will do in our lifetimes. I cherish her, her CSN team and everything they do for us. I kind of think John is still mad that CSN is not helping him pay his medical bills and retaliates whenever he can. And by the way John, just because you are married to someone of a different nationality does NOT give you the right to bash someone from another like you did.

This site can and has been an amazing place for so many over the years but now some of you are abusing it. You ask where the old timers have gone and I will tell you that some don’t enjoy being here anymore, too much negative energy. It’s gotten so it’s not about helping others, it about being RIGHT, just like mouthy politicians.

And be forewarned, if your post is not of assistance to other semi-colons I will be flagging it in a NY minute.

    Just don't open the post
If someone gets offended by a post they should just look at who wrote it and then don't open the post up. There are some I will not read and I am sure some don't open mine.

    We are not kids here.

under the constitution of this country we have the right of free speech...I read johns post and didn't like it but no one ask me to do a poll on popular post either.I just feel like if someone removes something they should post an explanation as to why it was removed . It is nothing personal to who ever did it , it was the manner in which it was done.I agree with Kerry if you don't like what some one says than who forced you to open it and read it.

    I Agree....
If you don't like what's being said, read over it, I sure as heck didn't see any maliciousness in his posts where they had to be deleted, this is a free country, people should be able to say what they will. I don't even reply to a post if I don't agree with it or it offends me, I just close it up.

Scouty has a good point. The last post that was taken off was hate speech. In the same paragraph that he talked about his wife and child being of asian heritage, he bashed everyone of german heritage. My grandparents were full germans, they were the kindest most gentle people you would ever want to meet, and I loved them very much. If you saw the post you know, he did not say nazi's, he said german. In some circumstances hate speech is a crime. But I think that post was terrible, hurtful and insulting.

There are certain well-defined and narrowly limited classes of speech, the prevention and punishment of which have never been thought to raise any constitutional problem. These include the lewd and obscene, the profane, the libelous, and the insulting or "fighting words" those which by their very utterance inflict injury or tend to incite an immediate breach of the peace. It has been well observed that such utterances are no essential part of any exposition of ideas, and are of such slight social value as a step to truth that any benefit that may be derived from them is clearly outweighed by the social interest in order and morality.

    For crying out loud....
I'm German and I didn't take it personal. This site is about cancer - the common denominator. People are reading far too much into posts.
