Oh Man!!!!!!! I hope it clears up quick. !!!!!

    update
I was admitted to the hospital on Tuesday and just released this afternoon. They had me on two different iv antibiotics. Everything looked a lot better still a little red but most of it was gone. I will be on two oral antibiotics for 7-10 days. I had the worst headaches with the iv antibiotics that last night they had to give me oxycodone to help with the pain.

Thank you all. I will be resting the rest of the week and weekend and will keep you posted if something changes which I hope doesn't.

    Good news!
That's great! It sounds like everything worked out well for you. Hope you get lots of rest this weekend, and be careful of those oxycodones... I hear they are very likable.

    oxycodone
Marlene, I only had to take that one in the hospital and was not sent home with any. Just sent home with antibiotics.

I have a high pain tolerance so for me to have to take a pain pill it was bad.

I am feeling so much better this morning--I think it helps being home where it is quiet and can sleep through the night. Sleep and resting is the best medicine and of course the antibiotics help too.

I'll be dropping Jake off at school and then coming back home and resting.

I am the same way with pain and I don't tolerate pain meds real well if or when I do need them. I was really only 'busting' about the oxycodone as people talk about how addicting it is. Personally, I've never had it.

I know what you mean about not being able to rest in the hospital. It's crazy how they always say the most important thing is 'rest' and they never allow to rest in a hospital. I love that first night home when you can actually sleep through the night!

So glad you're feeling better and are able to rest, Margo!

    Hugs, Mar

Sorry for your troubles. There always seems to be a bump ( or mountain) in our path to recovery. Thoughts and prayers for a speedy diagnosis and recovery. Puking sucks! Katz

    cellulitis
Cellulitis is a diffuse inflammation[1] of connective tissue with severe inflammation of dermal and subcutaneous layers of the skin. Cellulitis can be caused by normal skin flora or by exogenous bacteria, and often occurs where the skin has previously been broken: cracks in the skin, cuts, blisters, burns, insect bites, surgical wounds, or sites of intravenous catheter insertion. Skin on the face or lower legs is most commonly affected by this infection, though cellulitis can occur on any part of the body. The mainstay of therapy remains treatment with appropriate antibiotics.

Erysipelas is the term used for a more superficial infection of the dermis and upper subcutaneous layer that presents clinically with a well defined edge. Erysipelas and cellulitis often coexist, so it is often difficult to make a distinction between the two.

Cellulitis is unrelated (except etymologically) to cellulite, a cosmetic condition featuring dimpling of the skin.

    snow-no
North of me got hit hard with snow 18-24 inches and we didn't even get a dusting on that storm--we got all rain. Last night we got about an inch of wet snow but should melt away today. Some of my dirt driveway washed away into the road.
