A dear friend sent me the following motto saying it reminded him of me.

"Live life in such a way that when your feet hit the floor in the morning the devil shutters and says OH ****, SHE'S AWAKE."

I loved it and am proud that he views me this way.

Anyone else out there got a cool motto to live by.

    down days
On down days my friend always used to describe himself as "A little nodding dog in the back window of life". Ron.

    ( : . }
    Do not worry about tomorrow
Tomorrow will take care of itself
Sufficient for the day is it`s own problems.

    P.s.
I`ve also taken on Lesvanb`s motto - Ain`t dead yet. As a Texan I can relate. It`s so country and says the most in the fewest amount of words.

    Motto
"Life is short, and we do not have long to gladden the hearts of those who travel the way with us. So let us be swift to love, and make haste to show kindness." Henri Frederic Amiel

I think Rob might have posted this before, but still words to live by.

Not quite so serious, but still me
I have posted a picture on my expressions page. Sometimes visual images do more for me than words. I have been told that I have a bit of a wicked sense of humor, and I really like to look at the good things so I often have to step back from the really serious stuff and laugh even though I am feeling quite beat up by chemo, I am losing my hair, my skin has turned a funny color of yuk and I look so old.

I hope you enjoy the picture it so so me right now!

Other Motto through much of this is from Calvin and Hobbs “We're so busy watching out for what's just ahead of us that we don't take time to enjoy where we are.”

    Or just maybe:
“What fun is it being cool if you can't wear a sombrero?”

After I'm done with chemo we are going to plan a party, and I am going to wear a sombrero! Pictures to follow in a couple of months!

    My motto for years was

    "Don't eat the yellow snow."

It was part of a self-preservation thing.

    A Toast
My Dad used to say "may you live as long as you want to and want to as long as you live".
I'm surprised I only have 1 sister and 1 brother! I think my Mom had a different motto

Hey Jan - I'm sitting here
Hey Jan - I'm sitting here waiting for my Onc. to call and tell me whether or not I'm a candidate for surgery. Waiting sucks. Your picture made me laugh so hard I cried, sneezed and then choked on my snot. It was aweshome!! Thank you.

    Roger,
    Good luck! Please

    Roger,

Good luck! Please let us know what the onc says. I am in a similar position as you; waiting for everything to be right for surgery.

Just do it! I've lived by
Just do it! I've lived by this motto ever since I was little!

Don't give up, one foot in front of the other will eventually get you there.....my Mama, alone raised 9 successful kids!

Rest if you must, but don't you quit! Goes with a poem...
