Hi everyone. Today is my first checkup. Life without chemo has been fantastic. Not sure what will happen at this "check-up". Maybe someone has had this experience?

    keeping my fingers crossed
I will be saying a prayer that all is well with your appointment, Mine was strange, it was like ok, your done, see you in a few months. After all the intesnse appointments and treatmets,, it was like "this is it?" A weird feeling indeed.

    Had mine Dec. 15th
I had blood work and a quick check up by the physician's assistant. They were running behind because doc and she had been at the hospital all morning but my actual time in the back room was maybe 10 minutes.

See you in 4 months /April for your CT and blood work. Oh and be sure to schedule your one yr. post surgery colonoscopy.

    Wishing you good reports!

    Hey
I'm checking in late, so I just want to say that I hope the checkup went great!

    things went good
Dr said that my blood work looks normal for where I am at right now. CEA test will be back sometime today but he doesnt expect there to be anything alarming. We went ahead and scheduled a pet scan for febuary unless something unexpected comes back on the CEA workup. My doctor informed me that he had just had his 2 other patients that are very similar cases to mine come in for thier 10yr and 4 1/2 year checkups. More hope for stage 4 survivors.

    post chemo checkups
They are certainly different from checkups during chemo. More nervous because you are afraid "IT" might come back. But each time clean is a great feeling. So happy for you on your good reports.
