    My Christmas Wish
Would love for our youngest daughter, who is in the Army, to be home for Christmas and to be there when she gives birth in 3 weeks. I would also like to hold my new grand baby as I won't see her for over a year.

I would love for everyone to be NED.

I want more stability in my bowels so I can wear the pretty new pj's I bought without having to worry if I'm going to ruin them :)

I want to be able make love to my husband. Yup we discuss everything here. I go in the end of the month and will ask doctor how this can be achieved since radiation has shrunk everything down there.

I want everyone of you to have a Blessed Christmas and Holiday season (whatever you celebrate), and to spend quality time with your family and friends and to let you know, you are always in my prayers and thoughts. I love you all.

    Hugs!

    Kim

Kim's wish... Need to send a private message..How?
Kim, I would like to send you a private message about your wish to be with your hubby again, I am new to this and don't know how..... Do you know? I have some experience with this and can give you a few ideas that will help make it possible.

    Yup
We tried about two months ago and it bleed and split so I know that the radiation did some major damage to the vagina. I have a dilator (no people not a dildo :) )about 1 inch in diameter that I'm supposed to use once a day but haven't. I want to talk to doctor about getting something done. Maybe an operation to split it open. Oh we do talk about everything don't we :) It hurts like heck for me too, and I want something that is going to be more comfortable. It has been since March. Poor husband he is so patient.

    Hugs! Kim

    Kim's wish
    Kim,
Use the dilator! It will help to stretch the area. Put on a little music, dim the lights, and Oh god, I cannot beleive I am going to say this, but have your hubby help! It takes time, but it is worth it.

    My Two Front Teeth
1: Gibson Les Paul Guitar (or Epiphone version)
2: Fender Telecaster Guitar (I only have 8 guitars, I want more!)
3: Some sort of cool 3G phone. Not necessarily the iPhone
4: A VERY nice set of cookware, not non-stick but something my wife can't destroy. She has actually burned a hard boiled egg but letting all of the water biol off. The smoke alarm is her timer, then the house fills with smoke, the meal is done. This is why when I go into the hospital, the entire family loses weight.
5: Really, the most important thing is that my kids have a great Christmas.

    Great post Buzzard!
PS- the Crappie Pole has nothing to do with a new type of ostomy bag, does it?
I know it's for fishing, I'm just being me

    What a great thread! I
What a great thread! I usually say I don't need anything, which is true, but this year I'd like the twins to start staying "Mama" (what is taking them so long?!?).

I'd also like to start sleeping through the night (the two year old wakes up more than the babies!).

I really like Adrian's wish of someone paying off the mortgage- someone sign me up for that one!

    Christmas wishes
I have a few wishes for Christmas:

1 I wish for you all a year of not having to fight with your insurances companies for tests and such.

2 I wish I had enough money to make all your wishes and dreams come true.

    3 A cure for cancer

Merry Christmas everyone, or what ever it is you celebrate!

    While I was undergoing
While I was undergoing chemo, I used to read travel guides and magazines about taking a cruise. It seemed like such a luxury to spend time doing nothing but eating and drinking and looking at warm water. I still think that would be nice. The post about maid service sounds good too.

    If you like Scrabble
Also consider UpWords. It is a twist on Scrabble and even people that refuse to play Scrabble with you anymore (if you always kick their butts), or younger kids can play it. You get to build up, as well as out. So you might put in cup, and someone can build on top with copper (you always have to leave at least one original letter. You get extra points for stacking. Younger kids do well with changing cup to cap, etc. So everyone can play. I've been a Scrabble nut for all my life, but I almost prefer UpWords now.

    Barring the obvious
Barring the obvious like world peace or a cure for cancer, being totally selfish here is my list:

A clean PET scan on the 15th so I am allowed to take a week break. Then I need the airfare to be at low enough rates that I can use my credit card miles and get them, so I can go to my house in Mexico for 7=10 days.

A Wii Sports with Wii Fit so I can get fun exercise inside during our miserably cold winters. My awful face/neck/chest/throat neuropathy make walking in this snowy weather impossible for me. I love to exercise (mostly walk and bike), but I have a hard time getting motivated if it isn't a little fun and enjoyable. Doing situps or jumping jacks in my house just doesn't jazz me. I'd also enjoy playing the sports against my kids - give us more interaction (my parents have one and we had a lot of fun with it). But the budget is so tight this year - we can barely pay the bills with all my medical bills, my business dropping, and my husband's pay cut at work. So this is just a dream. We stll plan to buy gifts for the kids (including nieces and nephews), and our parents, but the budget is dropped. And we are not buying for each other.

When I was fighting RSD through a winter I'd get my spinal nerve blocks in MN and fly to Mexico where I could get out and walk in the heat. The cold here set my RSD off so badly it was very hard to get through the pain. Without those trips to the warmth I don't think I'd have ever reached remission. Besides that, it is my second home - it is very healing for my heart and soul. I miss my friends and extended family there a lot. I was supposed to be there the end of October and beginning of November, but had to cancel that trip.

So if my scan is clear and I can get to MX for New Year's Eve I wlil have my biggest wish of all right now!

The Wii fit is awesome, and the kids and I love it, if you get it, it will definitely get you in shape, it takes your numbers, and what age your body really is at, and helps improving it, I got it when we got our taxes back last year, along with a PS3 that my son wanted, but you will love it once you have it ;)

    All I want
All i want is for my marriage to work out. Ever since I found out that i have stage 4 colon cancer my marriage has been down hill. It was before that also. But it seems to be getting worse. All he does is go to the bar. Until wee hours of the morning. And it is an every night thing. And it has been going on now for 4 yrs. And all i want is someone to hold me and be there for me. i didn't think that was so hard too ask.

    That's so sad
I'm so very, very sorry to hear that. Do you have children, friends and a church family to lean on?

Wishing all your dreams come true this Christmas Season.

and I refer to you as Reba because you remind me so much of Reba McIntyre, and she too is a beautiful lady.....Tell him how it is when he gets sobered up then allow him to make the decision with a time stamp on it. Hes got the ball in his court and until you light a fire under his butt hes not gonna change.....If he loves you he will come home, if he doesn't then you have your answer...There are plenty of men out there that would give their left one to have a woman as caring as you.....don't fight for your life and then waste it...You owe yourself and your self esteem wayyyy to much to deal with this...Tell hubby to buck up, 4 years is about 3 years and 11 months to dang long for this to go on......Love and Hope and

    What do I really want?
This is fun to think about. On the trivial material side I would like iphones for our whole family. I would also love a spa day.... actually a spa week with yoga, surfing, manicures, massages and delicious healthy food.
But of course the only thing I truly want is for my family to be healthy. I want **** to be cancer free and Katie to stop having seizures and for her to life to be filled with joy. I want Jacqueline to not have to worry about her dad and her sister. That's what I want, for my family to be filled with joy. :)
I wish for great health and all cancer to be gone for each and every one of you.

    Aloha,

    Maid
I too want maid service for you. I went through the same thing when I was getting chemo. You can't just "don't worry about it" like some would say because it will still be there no matter when you open your eyes.
Other than the obvious... world peace, NED for everyone, I want new cookware my family cannot destroy. All my good TFal scratched from family using forks or something metal!! And they said it couldn't happen. I would love a little relief from neuropathy pain in feet and hands. Maybe some wool socks and gloves. For the memory or "chemo brain"..any suggestions. Merry Christmas everyone. Ann
