Well, we were doing fine, but we are having a little set back, when Jeff eats certain things it tears up his stomach, he starting throwing up only brown looking foam stuff, and makes his stomach totally hurt, and then immediately heads to the bathroom to sit on the toliet, and this wipes him out.

I am totally worried. Is this something I should be alarmed about. If anyone has any answers please let me know soon.

Thanks
Lori aka MOE

I am scared.

the only thing different was he wanted some pancakes last night and so i fixed them they might have been too sweet for him, with penuat butter and syrup, cause soon after is when he got sick and to the bathroom, so maybe he had that like you did, that was encourgaging words, from you though once i read it i started thinking back. I am home with him today as i didn't feel comfortable going off and leaving him, as sick as he was last night. i guess its just nature. Yes the only meds he is on is for his pain he has which is loratab i gave him some compazine when he got sick and that seemed to help his stomach alot. No you are right he hasn't had to wear his bog boy underwear for quite some time. I will keep you posted on his sickness. I too hope it is nothing if he does it again today i am calling the doctor.

I read not to much sweet at first
    Hi Lor,

Sorry to here about Jeffs little set back. I do remember reading in one of the many hand out that the dietician gave me was that to much sugar stuff is bad and to slowly introduce them back into the diet. I know you must have all of that stuff. The is even some web sites just enter esophagectomy diet.

    Hope this helps!

Right now we are battling mucous build up in his esophagus. I hate it its gross and it hinders the food from going down.

    Lots of HUGS

    Pancakes
    Lori,

Definitely could have been the pancakes. I know that if I eat pancakes with regular syrup I get diarreah really bad....it has a ton of sugar in it. I always have sugar free syrup in my cupboards, and tastes just as good. Good luck.
