To all My Cancer site friends, I just wanted to share with you that we went to the doctor today and my husband JEFF lab reports all came back negative yes I said negative, the tumor site, all 11 lymph nodes, the surrounding areas, all is gone, WHAT GREAT NEWS!!!, will he have to do radiation, we don't know, we have to see a doctor for that. We don't have to do Chemo though and we were told today because of where his CANCER was, and the aggressiveness of it, that it could return anytime, so we will have to have a cat scan every 3 months, to make sure nothing is coming about. I will say that as a caregiver I never thought I was this strong to get through Esophogeal Surgery. I know there is some out on this site that is waiting for their loved ones to have surgery, or could be you to have the surgery, I will tell you its a tough surgery but if you have a positive attitude, faith in your doctors, and willing to do it, you will get through it, you cant eat the big meals you once use to, you have to eat small meals and snacks daily, you can pretty much do what you want when you want on other things but its a slow process. There were times in the hospital that I thought I just cant do this, I would sign on to this and there would be replys from people that I will never meet but helped me through this diffcult time. We have a wonderful man on this site named "WILLIAM MARSHALL" I will say in the beginning I didn't like him, he scared me and I didn't want to listen to him, i thought he is trying to scare the pee out of me but as time went on and closer to surgery this person is so very knowledable that if it wasn't for him I couldn't have gone through all this by myself when I was down, and Jeff was not good in ICU he lifted my spirits. When I thought i couldn't walk no more or go see him with all the tubes he lifted my spirits and now he is my best friend. He kept telling me i was going to be a survivor. Then there is KITTEN0385, and she is my best friend, she would just answer anything I ask, but now she is suffering cause her Cancer is back, but the strong woman she is she will once again fight this ugly disease we call CANCER.

I had these panties called "BIG GIRL" and I sure had to wear these alot, when we were little we couldn't wait to become a BIG GIRL, but I don't want to be a BIG GIRL, in these kind of conditions, then I have a pair of shoes called "MOE"S SHOES" well I wore those out they are retired and hidden in the closet, those shoes I had to wear alot at the hospital and home, and I wondered if those were gone, so for now they are retired.

Am I going to leave this site "NO WAY" I have met so many people on this site, and I want to help others going through this cancer just like William and Kitten helped me, I want to be there for them, I AM NOW A SURVIVOR/CAREGIVER OF ESOPHOGEAL CANCER!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you to everyone on this site and just because we have beaten this ugly disease don't forget about me and I look forward to chatting with several of you and those waiting on surgery hang in there its coming

"LIFE ISNT ABOUT WAITING FOR A STORM TO PASS, ITS ABOUT LEARNING HOW TO DANCE IN THE RAIN"

love you all

    IT WAS A HARD JOB
thanks for everything I couldn't have done it without my friends on this site and to know we probably will never meet but knowing we have each other is great, no it might not been the panties or the shoes, but they helped alot. There is hope you just have to keep looking for the rainbow at the end of the road, its starts really dark and lightens at the end, and you find the rainbow when you get the news. I about fell off the doctors chair too when we got that news, but it would have been worth it. Keep up the good work caregivers have a harder job.

    Hugs to you
