Hey everyone!!!

I have a CT scan coming up in just a few days, and I just wanted to ask everyone to say a little extra prayer (If you pray)...if not just cross your fingers and toes...for me these next few days...I could sure use it!! There was a spot of fluid they were watching by the surgical site that they're not sure if it was caused by radiation or the cancer, so keep your fingers crossed that radiation caused it!!

Thanks guys!!! :0)

    Hi CAthy!!

Its not that I have been igonoring you or everyone here, I have been dealing with various things with my brother and family and now finances. I know that with such positive energy and caring energy that this site gives to so many people as well as your thoughtfullness and caring inspiration as well as with Bill that you have so many people behind you and praying for you that we all know that everything will be fine.

I am sure that once you come back home you will be writing with such enthusiasm and back to full vigourous work,..
as I mentioned before, you and the rest of people here on this site are an inspiration to all....there is a reason why we all were drawn to this site.

As for my brother its still not so great, I am not sure why he is still so nauseaus, he had both chemo and radiation together and with this alot of esophageal gastritis.
because of family and his weakness, I did not persue going to Pitsburg, however I will be going down in September and if God pervails, hopefully taking him down there for a second opionion.. After two months, they finally have an appointment at MD Anderson, hopefully \he will be good to travel?

Has anyone had experience with such a long ordeal of nausea after chemo and radioation? I presume its just a matter of time.,. He is on tube feed, but is scared to aspirate , so it gets held.....

all the best , and I will be phoning Pitsburg once I know that he can travel,

    God Bless ,and big Hugs!!!
    Yours Eileen

    Eileen,

Thank you for your kind words. :0) I am sorry to hear that your brother is still dealing with nausea. I had quite a bit of nausea during chemo and radiation, and I would say it lasted about 3 weeks after treatment ended, but then I was pretty much good to go. The only time I ever have nausea now is if I eat something that doesn't quite agree with my stomach. What kinds of meds is he taking for the nausea? Compazine, Ativan, and Zofran helped me tremendously. So great that they have an appt at MD Anderson, I have heard that it's a wonderful place to be! My thought and prayers are with your family!
