I need a little help here understanding what a CA level is. My Doc told me this morning that my CA levels are normal, not sure exactly what that means.

I'm not sure what CA level
I'm not sure what CA level is, maybe he said CEA?. That's a measure of a cancer specific antigen used to assess active cancer.

My ONC said 1-5 was normal. I am at 2. But, you should ask too, my onc didn't say that was normal for me, just the normal range.

    2 Kinds of Levels

    Are you wanting CEA level?

Or CA-19 9? This is another test that is done for indications of cancer activity in the liver and for the pancreas.

    Normal ranges for both are:

    CEA
    0-3 for non smoker
    3-6 for smokers

    CA-19 9
    0-37 is considered normal.
