Good Morning Ya'll,

My Husband starts his first treatment on Monday @ 10am. We are both just wondering what to expect for the first day/week. He will have Cisplatin first and then his radiation treatment. He has a tumor on his right tonsil with three lymph nodes involved. Also wondering what is typical during the treatment. I know he will lose his appetite and have sore throat and be tired. Just wondering what ya'll can tell me your daily activity was like. Did you work? Were you able to do any activities. He is not worried about working but would like to play golf. Do you think he will feel like getting out? Just wondering. Thanks so much. God Bless you all!

    Hi
I did not have chemo but I did have radiation but I have had friends who have had chemo and you do get sick as for radiation after the first week he will really start to feel the affects from it. He will get tired and as for me i got nauseated too, but most people don't.Remember for him not to wear anything on his skin like lotion cologne etc.before his treatments and after treatments be sure to put lotion on. the oncologist should tell you guys all this i used aquaphor ointment it works great. Is he having to wear a mask during radiation?Did he have surgery?
As for his daily activities everyone is different but I would say after the first week he might not be up to golfing but everyone is different.I hope and pray all will go well for him I hope my little bit of advice will help you guys
take care and you guys are in my prayers
