I live in NYC, am 55 years old, have metastatic colon cancer, and am on chemotherapy. I'm looking for a single man age 45-62 with cancer who also wants love, caring and companionship! I'm smart, attracive, intelligent and love the arts.

Looking forward to hearing from Mr. Wonderful- Seena

    Seriously?
Seriously, you aren't trolling this web site for dates, right?

Just when you thought you've seen it all, yet another post to raise an eyebrow...

Here are my suggestions: eHarmony, match.com, or any other hook up site on the web. In other words, anywhere but here.

    Dear me
Well, now. If you're seriously looking for a man, I wish you luck. But good gracious, this is not the place to do it.

    *hugs*

    Not surprised
This site seems to me a magnet for people looking for the wrong things lately.
Have you noticed that or is it just me?

I can't read your sign other than it looks like the word "colon".
Was it a Cancer walk or something?

    Looking for Mr Wonderful???
I read this post shortly after it was written, and couldn't believe what I read. I wanted to post something but was so dumbfounded that I just couldn't. But now that I've read some of the posts, I have to also say something. You've got to be kidding me!!!! I truly can't believe this is serious!

    Maybe
we took this the wrong way. Maybe Seena would like someone in the same boat she is in and living in the same area to connect with. You know it is easy to get on these boards and chat about our lives, our surgeries, our ups and downs but most of us have family and friends to give us that one on one support we all need and crave. Maybe she doesn't have anyone else to give hugs or to offer up that shoulder to lean on. Granted, I think she should have gone about the wording differently but...maybe

    The sign was about colon
The sign was about colon cancer. It was a message about getting checks to be sure, something about getting polyps and getting a cure. It was funny to Stacy(on the left) and me, because we're co-captains of our Relay for Life team, and we've both had colon cancer. And that sign just happened to be plopped right smack in front of our campsite. *L* This was taken at our Relay for Life last Friday night. Our team raised over $5000!!

    *hugs*

    HEY!!!
Cut the gal some slack...she is simply looking for a connection. She may or may not find it here, but at least she is here. And thank you Wenchie, for a good link for our new friend. Check it out Seena, you might have better luck there.

And Seena, this may come as a shock, but this really is a great place to connect to new friends, men and women, survivors, caregivers, family, friends, who know what it is like to live with cancer. Perhaps you'll find a friend connection, and if you are as lucky as I was, maybe even a great man. I did not sign up to find a mate, but lo and behold, I did - I did meet my husband here, but finding a love connection here is as rare as the kind of cancer my husband and I had, so don't hold your breath.

I think Wenchie gave you the best advice - check out that site. And welcome to the CSN Colon Board!

    And you, Emily....
...are so cool! And yes, Ron, you are wonderful, but I must be careful not to get too gushy, lest my husband take exception.

    Love the pic, Emily!

    Your sign...
Thank you, I figured it was some sort of colon cancer thing.

That's my favorite Siberian Husky with me. I suppose now that it's spring I should put a more seasonal pic in there.

    What?
Now's the best time to be focusing on yourself and your own healing. Aren't there any support groups in you area? I now that there are volunteer groups that can help you with everyday chores and outings.

Just in my own very humble opinion, now is not the time.

    Hugs and prayers,
    Elizabeth aka - CHEMOsabe

edited to add that Kate is probably the exception, but you will find lots of caring and knowledgeable people here.

    Too Funny!
    I LOVE your CHEMOsabe moniker!

Now, I'm not sure if this is true, but my husband insists that when Tonto was calling the Lone Ranger "Chemosabe" it's translated to "Oh ignorant One". But I love yours anyway cuz it's such a great play on words which I happen to appreciate..... Play and Words.

peace, emily who's just trying to keep it light!

    It's True!
It was Jay Silverheels (Tonto)private joke...he talked about it once in an interview with Johnny Carson. I don't remember all the details...it was many years ago!
