I am tired of wearing scarves around my neck and just started using Mederma on my scar. Has anyone else tried it?

    It's Great!
I have used it on my scar and has been quite good. You are lucky you can wear something around your neck. Ever since my surgery, I cannot put anything near that area. It doesn't hurt, just very bothersome. I have to rip tee shirts and sweatshirts and even move necklaces that go near the site. I am with the scar about 2 years and it is only a very fine line now. Good Luck!

Thanks for the input, I just started using it. Did it make you itch?

    Sometimes
On my neck, it did, but I am very sensitive in that area. Everywhere else that I have used it on scars, it has been fine.

    I stopped wearing scarves or
I stopped wearing scarves or covering up my scar a long time ago, since pretty much all fabrics seem to irritate it. But I did start using Mederma a couple weeks ago, and so far it seems to be working pretty well. The scar feels softer and smoother, and it doesn't get irritated as easily.

    I started using mederma as
I started using mederma as well a few weeks ago. At first it made me itch like crazy but now its better. I made sure that I put only in the scar and that I rub the product well. I think the scar is improving. I am still wearing a scarf when I know I am going to be under direct sunlight. I was told that when you have a fresh scar, you should not get any sun for the first month because it will turn red and thick.. so this time around I am trying to do things better. The first time I had surgery I did not follow this that good and my scar did get a bit thick and red so.. I've been taking care of this new scar that is very fine.. hopefully using mederma its going to heal a lot better.
