I've just been diagnosed with DFSP through a resection of a tumor located on my right hip. I'm 19 years old and a cancer survivor of a rare brain tumor which is now in remission. My next step is to have the MOHS surgery in about 1-2 months to let the initial surgery heal. Can anyone give me any information about their treatment and what questions I should ask my doctor.

    Dermatofibrosarcoma
I have just been diagnosed with this growth on my shoulder. I go on 06/02 for mohs surgery. This growth was biopsied in 2000 and was listed as a dermafibroma but changed to cancer and I do not know for how long.

It appears from some other posts that I will need to get a oncologist. I currently have a dermatologist who is very experienced in mohs.

Please let me know your experiences and anything that I should ask or be aware of.

    Thank you for your time.
