Today is my anniversary. We've been married 19 years. Raised 4 boys together. Took care of our parents, sadly they've all passed. My husband was my main support all during this whole cancer thing. He didn't bat an eye when I ended up with my ileostomy bag. He's comforted me during my surgeries, all during treatment and during the days when my pain is hard. Sometimes the pain isn't physical. I'm very lucky. It's because of him that I went through my treatment with few side effects. It saddens me when I hear of others whose partners leave them. Everyone have a good day. God bless. Oh by the way, Branson is open now. Can't wait to go in May. Miss the shows, the good food, the shops.

    Happy Anniversary!
It is heartening to hear when couples do so well together! You both are very lucky and I am sure have many more happy years together in the future!

    Awww....
....What a good man! Happy Anniversary! I think all these caregivers are special, my hubby who I thought used to be some lazy guy who didn't involve himself with the kids as much as me, stepped up to the plate as well and really is taking care of me as well, and really changed, he actually is spending more time with the kids, since I told him he needed to emotionally bond with them, and me being sick really has changed him, I think him doing what I used to do all the time kind of showed him how much I did, since all he would do is work and then watch tv and go to bed, while I carted the kids everywhere, but he's actually become a better father throughout all this, and a better husband, I think this cancer has actually brought us all closer together, I hope you go out somewhere nice and celebrate!

    there's that silver lining!
We hate that this beast had to come along to show us the more important things in our lives, but I am thankful that I didn't make it through my entire life before learning that lesson!
