    Hi Sheri!
I'm in the same boat as you.. scared, and just diagnosed and not knowing what to expect from chemo, and thought I was going to die next week..but finding this site actually gave me alot of hope, and alot of wonderful people are here, and have been helping me through this. I still get a little down and scared, but after awhile, you can only feel like that for so long when you want to just jump up and scream "YOU WILL NOT BREAK ME!"

Good luck in your journey, maybe we can both hold hands through this together!

    Hugsss to you!

    Hi Sheri,
    I'm another w/

    Hi Sheri,
I'm another w/ stage IV cancer, although mine was in the rectum, which is sometimes lumped together w/ colon cancer as colorectal, but many doctors are differentiating it lately. Recent studies have shown rectal cancer is becoming more common, but that the number of colon cancer diagnoses is about the same. Anyhow, I've been fighting it for a year and a half now- I'm still here and doing well! I'm on my second time of doing chemo, but I was told "nothing is life threatening and everything seems stable". I'm continuing to fight to get to that "NED" point (No Evidence of Disease)- I will rejoice when I can say that's where I'm at- and I believe it will happen!! My cancer was found, in addition to in the rectum, to be in the liver and in both lungs when I was diagnosed back in Aug. 2007.
It wasn't an easy path to get to where I am now, but I did it and you will too!
Welcome to this board. People here in similar situations care about each other and are very supportive mentally, emotionally, spiritually, and also give some great answers any time I have medical questions about treatments, procedures, side effects, etc.

Feel free to share, vent, answer, or inform anytime. Praying for all of God's blessings to you- you WILL be okay!!

God bless and I wish you all the best
I was diagnosed stage IIIA but have had odd CEA results ever since. This site has many survivors - I hope you kick the "..." out of this cancer.
