Hi! I'm 24 years old, my mom is 49 year old and last two weeks my family just found out that my mom have liver cancer. After week of test and exam,Yesterday the doctor told us that we have two choice, one give my mom some medication to relieve her pain and live for 18 months or choose chemo.

We choose chemo, I know it's going to be a long journey for my mom and she need a lot of help and care. Right now I am doing a research on liver cancer and chemo,so I have more knowledge about what my mom is going through.

Does anyone have any advice to help me help my mom? I'm still shock and I don't know what to do. :(

  • Dear eruew,
    The easiest way

    Dear eruew,

The easiest way to locate other CSN members with similar experiences is to type keywords (such as "liver cancer," "chemotherapy," "liver cancer treatment," etc.) on the search bar at the top of the home page. You can refine your search by clicking on the “Advance search” link listed underneath the search field. The major categories of content on CSN are blogs, discussion boards, “About Me” pages, etc. For example, if you are looking for a specific resource on the Resource Library, you can limit your search to resources only by clicking on the "resource" and "advanced search" button at the bottom of the "advanced search" box. Remember that you must be logged on if you want to post anything on a discussion boards, view personal pages, use the chat room, etc.

For information about liver cancer, please contact your American Cancer Society at 1-800-227-2345. We have cancer information specialists around the clock. They might be able to provide you with information about liver cancer and its treatments.

    Cordially,
    Your CSN Staff

My mom just got diagnosed Tuesday. We are waiting for a surgical oncologist to tell us where to go now. Is there anything you've learned that may help me?
