Stage 2, 1 year NED

Hi everyone,

I haven't been on here for a while. I had surgery August 26, 2006 for stage 2 - four rounds of chemo (got c-diff and had to stop chemo). Yesterday I saw my Onc to go over my latest CT and bloodwork. All is well - still NED. It was a more emotional event than I expected. I was more aware than ever that how I would live going forward was dependent on the results of my tests and until the doctor told me one way or the other I didn't know if I was going to be living as usual or back to chemo, surgery etc.

For the record I have changed the way I eat somewhat. I eat more whole grains and organic foods and less junk. I take a multivitamin, acidophilus (because of the c-diff) and a baby asprin each day. I've never felt better in my life. I ride my bicycle, kayak and generally stay pretty active.

On the one hand I'm glad we have the tests we have to catch stuff early but the moment before the doctor opens his mouth to give the results is a tough moment for me.

Thanks for being here and I hope this helps give hope to all who are just starting this journey.
