Surgery Date

Ladies, I have a date with two surgeons on Friday, July 6th at 4:30 PM. Not crazy about the time. Hope they are still fresh. Had to wait on a surgeon that would tackle the three tumors in my liver and remove my spleen. The GYN/ONC will do the debulking elsewhere. I covet your prayers Friday and thru the weekend. My husband or son will post the outcome in this discussion group for me for awhile.

    PS. My Mom had her surgery on a Friday at 4:30 also. And her outcome was wonderful. They did a major debulking. I send a giant hug your way.

    Hi Saundra, this is Rebekah, Kathie's daughter. Mom is not feeling well enough today to log on and chat herself, but when I mentioned your note to her she wanted to make sure you knew she was thinking of you and will be praying for you in the coming week. She was so hoping to be able to be in Dallas while you were there having surgery but she just isn't well enough. This is such an important next step in your recovery and she will be thinking of you, as will all of us.

    Ladies, let's all keep Kathie in our prayers too, as well as her family. Cindy54, that is what I needed to hear, so see you are an answered prayer of mine or rather the news you shared of your mother. Thanks ever so. ((HUGS))

    Thank goodness the surgery is set and after the Drs had a day off in the middle of the week they should have rested up from their hectic schedules and be fresher than other Fridays.

    I am praying for you, and for your family.

    Also Rebekah tell your mom hello and that she is in my prayers still. It does get better.

    Saundra, you are going to so relieved to finally get this surgery over with, and I just know all will go well!!!! It sounds like the surgeons have prepared a 'game plan' and know what they are doing. I had to wait a month for my debulking surgery, and remember how happy I was to have it over! I will certainly be thinking good thoughts about you on Friday! Stay positive, that helps so much, I think. And, I send my best wishes to Kathie via Rebekah too!!!
