I am finally able to go to my 1st Realy for Life 5-18-2007. I was diagnosed with rectal cancer in late Oct. 2004 and every year since have had just had surgery or was recovering from it. So this is a BIG day for me. I will have my husband and 4 children by my side when I walk the Survivor walk. I am planning on walking the whole lap, but not sure if I will be able to.

It is a big day indeed, I proudly walked the survivor lap last year. It was very emotional---I cried the entire lap. My husband and 3 children were there also. It made my husband cry too.

It has been 4 years since my rectal cancer diagnosis. I can't believe how far I have come.

    GOOD for you!!!! Take tissues!!!!

And, if you are feeling strong enough, return for Luminaria....it is truly moving!!!

I wish you well. I am also doing my first on 9-10 June. I am hoping my husband and son join me. Not sure if I will do the day and half though.

The Relay for Life is awesome! I walked my first one with my semi-colon friends by my side: Scouty, Nanuk, jerseysue, Suzannchilli, Kanort, Lisa Rose, Kangatoo and our supporters, Andy, Jen, Sue (bsrules), Linda (buttrcup). What a wonderful and memorable time we had. So emotional for us all, survivors and caregivers alike.

Enjoy your walk...I have a feeling you will make the whole lap!

I am so proud of you. You will do this. I did the Soleburner in Appleton a week ago Saturday which is the equivelent here of the relay for life. I did it 3 weeks after finsihing my chemo. I cried too, walked with 2 co-workers.

I've signed up to volunteer at my first Relay for Life, which will be June 8. It's at the high school my son graduated from. Last year was right after my surgery and I wasn't able to go, so I'm really looking forward to it.
