Is FAP & Gardner Syndrome the same?

I have been looking into yahoo groups for support and I found 1 gardner syndrome and they are saying that they are the same. I'm very confused, can someone help?

    I am no expert, but I think it is the same.....

    Gardner syndrome seems to be one type or a variant of FAP -- but much rarer

    I have found a group on yahoo that says they are the same thing. Thank you for the luck I will need it.
