I am wanting to get more information on papillary adenocarcinoma, the type cancer I have according to a needle biopsy. I am taking three rounds of taxol+carbo hoping to shrink this enough for the debulking surgery. Mine is widespread in the abdomen and three troublesome spots in the liver.

    Saundra,
So sorry to hear that this is happening to you. I think what you have is like mine the most commmon type. It falls under the serous epthelial cancer catorgry. I am seeing chemo before surgery a great deal more these days and it seems like it is working better for most people. Their hospital stay is shorter so recovery is easier. Good luck;;;sending prayers to you..(((hugz)))..Joanne

Saundra, I have seen postings here of women that are doing the chemo first, and it surprised me, but seems quite understandable as the surgery is quite complex with the large tumor growth. I was lucky to have a long remission after surgery and chemo, and am now at sort of a maintenance level with a forth recurrence to the liver and abdomen. I use a lot of guided imagery and other natural methods to assist healing, and am grateful for the medicines and procedures available to me.
Wishing you the very best in your healing journey!
