lost my dad to pancreatic cancer...

Lost my stepdad on Jan 16 2006 to lung cancer and now my dad on Jan 16 2007....On this past thanksgiving I thank God for the good and the bad...but also prayed for a cure on cancer on 2007...this has to stop......
Trying to make a joke out of this...I am going to hide on January 16 2008...

    I am very sorry for your loss of two dad's. It is so odd that it has happened on the same day one year apart.

    I pray for you and your family to find peace and the strenght to get through.

    I am so sorry to hear of your loss. The first anniversay after losing a loved one is hard. I can't imagine how much harder it would be to lose another love one on that date.

    I understand how you will feel come next January 16.

    I lost my Mom and four days later lost my neice in 2003. Four days after my neice died, I wondered who was next. I can somehow relate to how you are feeling.

    Please know that you and your family are in my prayers.

    Ileana: I am so sorry about your loss. I honestly believe that everything happens for a reason and there are no coincidences. I am a very spiritual person and I hope you don't mind, but I honestly believe that January 16 will never be a day to fear, but a day to remember two amazing men that were part of your life, and are part of your life.     Hey there, Ileana - what a pretty name!

    I am so sorry for you...My hope is that you can believe in renewal (whatever that really means - maybe just endurance).
