    Ying,

When Stacy posts the info on how to book a room from the negotiated rate ($100 a night savings!!!), it makes more sense to reserve a room sooner, just in case. You can cancel with no penalties up to a month before. When you sign one of these kind of contracts with a hotel you ask for a certain number of rooms. We usually block out 15 and have never needed more (this year could be different). If all of those get taken, Stacy would try to get more, but the rate could be higher.

It's all about saving a few $$$ so you can spend more on other "stuff". I also have to mention that the block of rooms we had in Halifax included a free upgrade to a harbor view (usually cost $40 a night), so there are other perks too.

Thanks Lisa. As long as there is a way out, then booking early makes sense. $100 is a lotta shopping :) OK, Stacy, please count me in.

And as we learned at CP-1, the more chocolate martinis Lisa drinks, the more comfortable she gets!

    ;-)

    Sponger!!!!!

I was 50 years old and had never had a martini before and have to admit it tasted nasty at first. It got better the more alcohol I consumed (duh). I have not had another one since. They are so much more expensive then Coors Light, besides we don't have any martini bars in Whitsett, NC. But, I could get you some moonshine!!!!!
