Call me NED...

Hello Everyone,

In anticipation of positive results of a yuletide CT/PET scan my sweetheart gave me a very cool bowling shirt for Christmas, emblazoned with the name Ned. Yesterday I met with my oncologist who told me what SB and I already knew, I'M NED (no evidence of disease)! I'm happy to say goodbye to Oxaliplatin, excited to wear my NED shirt and get on with life after cancer.

I've learned a lot from the experience - I consider myself stronger and wiser for having gone through it. I'm also blessed to have met the most incredible people - survivors, care givers, doctors, nurses, friends and a very good man. Even though I tend to lurk more than post here at CSN, all of you always have my very best thoughts and prayers. Thanks for being here - you all have helped me more than you know. I hope I can to look forward to seeing many of you at CP5 in Nashville.

Well done and congrats! I'm currently in remission and when you hear the words "no evidence of disease" it is truely priceless!

Yahoo!!!!!! That means you are moving east and I will get to meet you when y'all come down to NC to see SB's Mom.

Congrats and wear the hell out of that bowling shirt. I just don't know why SB didn't get us all one. What colors, so we can get a feel for his fashion sense. You know we have always wondered about his relationship with Patrick and all that entails so I am guessing he has wonderful taste and attention to fashion.

Halfway through typing the reason why SB didn't give "us" one scouty, I realized that this is a family show, and I should not refer to what else Katie had to do to "earn" the bowling shirt. No medical miracles involved in that....tee hee!!!

True... know meddukle mearikles invoulved. Wanna no what she had too dew? She had two lett me win at Scrabble everee thyme we play! Cuz I'm knot a smart man, but I do know what triple word score with a Z is... (eaven if I dew misspell the wurd and don't get kaught!)

Stacy, Stacy, Stacy...very funny.

I don't know though...could be a medical miracle. Maybe SB and I stumbled on a new treatment protocol, but I'll never tell. I will admit though, I LOVED every second!

They didn't actually "talk", it was more of a "drug-induced mumble".

Kinda like you were doing atop that table in the Las Vegas Kareoke Bar. Remember? Oh... yeah... of course you don't.

Congrats! The bowling shirt sounds like something cool to hand out at the CP in Nashville! We could all get one in our favorite color. I can't wait to meet NED! Have fun dancing with him for many years to come.

I have been called NED, for 13 years now, my anniversary was Decenber the 20th 2006. Stage 4.

Like you I lurk more than post, but couldn't agree more about the great people my husband and I have met. Great news Ned. Pray you keep the shirt for many (forever) years.

Congratulations Katie. Now that you have "another?" man in your life maybe SB better had better be on his toes.
(I guess we all refer to NED in the male gender, although many months ago I did suggest NEDINA ....just for us guys....he!he!)
Hope you stay NED for a lifetime.
