Hello everyone. i wanted to say thank you for all the warm wishes and the prayers. I had my surgery Monday and I came home today. They removed all the tumor lapriscopicly (spelling is wrong!) They did find some cancer on the vaginal wall so they had to remove some of that and due to the location of that I had to have all of my muscle and anus removed. I am officialy a semi-colon, for good! I am glad that my doctor took his time, 7 1/2 hours, and got everything out. I feel really good today, the pain was managable and I am up walking around without too many problems. I will get a couple of weeks to recover then it will be time to start chemo to attack the liver and lungs. Thanks to all my fellow survivors, I really to rely on the people that I have chatted with on this web site!

I am glad to hear your surgery went well. I read your personal story and I cannot believe how this colon cancer affects people as young as you are. I
have learned so much from this web site. The people here are wonderful and most helpful. Wishing you a speedy recovery. Don't do too much.

    Heather -

welcome home. I bet the little ones are glad to have mom back. I'm glad they were able to do your surgery laproscopically! Hopefully they fit your stoma in the spot below your beltline as you desired!

Welcome - officially - to the semicolons. Proud to count you among our ranks.

    Be well...

    Hi,

I didn't even realize you were going to have surgery. I must have missed your post about that. I'm glad that everything went well. I'm glad you were able to have the procedure done laparoscopically (don't know if I spelled it right). Praying for a speedy recovery and for NED results soon!!!

    God bless you,
