Also new to this

I found out at the beginning of May that I have vaginal cancer. I am scheduled to start treatments one week from Monday. I am very scared. I know what the doctors say, but I don't know how my body is going to react and I don't know where to turn. I will be have to be vigilant the rest of my life.

    Hi Bonnie,

I am sorry to read that you are facing vaginal cancer. What treatments will you be starting next week? How advanced is your cancer?

I am a vaginal cancer survivor and would be happy to be in touch with you and encourage you. I finished treatment three years ago this month. I had surgery and radiation. I am doing really well and I am very happy. There can be a good life after vaginal cancer.

Let me know how you are.

Hi my name is April and my husband and I just found a lump just inside my vagina that feels to be a little bigger than a marble. It is hard and is a little tender. I'm not sure what to make of it, and because it's the weekend, my dr's office isn't open. I've been trying to find stuff on the internet, but am wondering what types of symptons you all had. Did you get an abnormal pap smear or did you find a lump? I'm pretty freaked out, not sure why I haven't even talked to my doctor yet.

    Thanks,
    April

Hi...I am so sorry for you and wish you well. Check my post as A Mom and her daughter for information you must have to help you as the years go by.
You can be cancer-free but you must deal with the results of radiation.
