Has anyone had, or heard about repair of the eustachian tube(s) after radiation treatment? Still with fluid filled ears 2 years out of treatment. Also, a neck that is becoming "wooden" to the touch. Thanks for any advice.

I too have fluid filled ear 1 year, 3 months after last rad treatment. Since then have had tube inserted (did no good) and had mastoid surgery. Was told after last surgery there was nothing else they could do for my ear/hearing. My neck is also tightening and getting a wooden feeling. Apparently these are the side effects that no one tells your about. Sorry I can't help, but know you aren't alone out there.

Hi, an update to the first message. ENT told us tubes are too far into the face to repair. There was a sinus infection along with the ear fluid. Augmentin has stopped the sinus problem. Waiting on the ear thing. Thanks to All. Hang in there, we will try to answer anything we have experience with.
