Hi all, Hope everyone is doing well. Just checking in. Having trouble coping with all the problems right now. Don't worry, though, I'll be fine and will be back eventually. Love ya all.

Hang in there Judy!!! I always try to remember that someone somewhere has it worse than me. That usually makes me pull up my boots straps and trudge on. Admittedly, sometimes I just want to think that I am the one who has it worse and be angry that someone can even suggest that anyone has it worse.... but it isn't true. As bad as things get, there is always worse.

Look for the bright sides and try keeping a journal of at least 5 bright sides a day. It isn't easy but it certainly does help. You'd be amazed at how it changes the way you look at the world.

    Hi Judy,
Glad to see you had the time and energy to post. With the December you have planned, you must be incredibly busy! I think of you often, and send positive thoughts your way.

When I was in the middle of treatment my mother would check in regularly and ask for a report. One time (among many) the numbers did not look so good and she sighed one of - those long ones that only mothers can do - and I said cheeerily, "Well, it could be worse." She retorted, "How could it be any worse!" I thought she had no idea how bad it could get for some people. But for her just having a sick child was bad. Real bad. The worst. I should have been more understanding at the time. We all have trouble coping sometimes. I would refuse to take calls much less have visitors when I was down. I needed to just crawl into bed, pull up the covers and turn my face to the wall. I got bored after a while and snapped out of it but everyone needs to heal at their own speed in their own way.
    Be patient with yourself.
