I just saw my onc. this morning to go over the PET scan done Tuesday, and I am now officially in remission from stage 4 cancer. Nothing could be seen on the PET!!! In February I had surgery to remove the colon cancer and they discovered two mets to liver. One removed for biopsy, the second which was 2 cm was left to see how chemo effected it. After 5 rounds (15 treatments), I now show no signs of disease and my onc. is now using the magic "cure" word. Going to do two more rounds of chemo and then it becomes a waiting game.

My family and I are off to Yellowstone for the next week. Have a great weekend and keep the faith. Mike

Mike how wonderful for you that is what I am dealing with now had tumor removed from colon now dealing with chemo for spots on liver. 2 are in tissue doing the fol fox and avastin having cat scan done in two weeks so will hopefully have some news on 9/2/04. You give me inspiration I have to have surgery when I get done recuperating frome chemo to replace my colon right now have 2 bags one is ilostomy the other was mucus fistual to drain infection that was blocking my colon that is why they couldn't get the spots then they were afraid of infection spreadin this happened all in may in 24 hours. Now just realizing what happened it was so shocking one day to be in control of your life next you are not but hey I made it and beat the odds when they thought I was gonna die on operating table so am blessed just have to wait this whole yr out and pray to the creator for good luck like you have. May the creator bless you and your family. How long were you diagnosed sorry I forgot to ask that. Have a wonderul time and bless you. so happy for you and your family
