NOCC Chapter in Michigan

I wanted to let everyone know that I'm going to start a Michigan Chapter for the NOCC, specifically the Detroit/Grosse Pointe area. Most likely in August. If anyone is interested in joining our group, please e-mail me at als22937@hotmail.com. The NOCC is a National organization. Their main goal is to raise awareness of OVC.     Hello! I am in the general area you spoke of. What exactly would being a member of this chapter involve? My time is so very limited, I cannot take on any major commitments right now. But I'd be happy to talk about it. Let me know.

    I don't have specific details right now, however I do know that it wouldn't be too time consuming.. I believe our group would meet once a month for 30 minutes (via phone or in person) just to discuss current ideas.. I work full-time, so I can't dedicate a ton of time either.. Hopefully, we can each do a little and we'll make a difference.. Some of the projects would include.. dropping off literature to doctor's offices (on your own time/whenever it works best for you), thinking of fundraisers... (so timing on this would depend what it is/when it is,etc..). I'll have a better idea once I have my orientation with the NOCC. I'll let you know when it's finished.. My Mom was treated at Karmanos, so I'm going to invite their gynecological group to participate too. They're known as "Blooms for Tomorrow".. I'll keep in touch..
