Malignant endometriosis

I am 50 yrs. old. I had a total hysterectomy for extensive endometriosis in 1985. There was endometriosis inside my bladder at that time, but the surgeons thought it would atrophy after the hysterectomy. My doctor put me on estrogen and that kept the endometriosis going. On 2/28/03, I had 25% of my bladder removed, part of my vagina, and my ureter has a stent in it which will be removed next month. Has anyone any experience with endometriosis turning into cancer? I would love to hear from you.

I haven't heard of it in the sense of it turning into cancer, but it can be a sign that something bigger is lurking. I would suggest going to some of the wesites that deal specifically w/ gyn-cancers & see if there is further info. www.eyesontheprize.org has a great list of sites w/ info that might be helpful w/ your research.
