I have a friend that has just found out he has bladder cancer. They removed the tumor (golf ball size) and said that the lymph nodes were clean around it but they also found spots on his liver, and they are gonna biopsy that. Now they are talking about removing the bladder. He was to see an onocologist this week. Has anyone out there experienced any of this. Please answer.

What do you want to know? How old is your friend? Where is he going for treatment? I assume it is transitional cell.
I am a 50 year old female. I had my bladder removed two years ago. I have had a total of 16 surgeries and two chemo's in the last 5 years.
If you want to talk write me.

have your friend contact RationalTherapeutics.com for info on personalized chemo, they analize the tumor tissue and make up a chemo mix specific to your own DNA, verses chemo protocol that help s the majority(but not all) of people as determined in trials. If my cancer invades, I am going to use them myself.

    Bladder cancer

I am presently in Chemo and Radiation treatments at Mem. sloan Kettering. My Pet Scan prior to start of treatments revealed Head/face and Neck with comment "Physiologic FDG uptake is seen in the visualized regions of brain, large salivary glands and oropharynx and neck muscles. Has anyone experienced such a test :Pet Scan" with these results. Thank you
