Good news. I am a 4+ year survivor. Can you provide me with his treatment protocol? It sounds like a miracle.

my father has just been diagnosed and is believed to be a T2n0 that was as of three weeks ago, his surgery is scheduled for the 21st and chemo- and radation will be based on results of lymph node biopsy . I,m sure God does miricles and that all things are possible thru Jesus Christ. I would love to hear more about your husbands story. jenn_if_er1999@yahoo.com . My husband's surgery for esophageal and stomach cancer was 6 years ago. Will be going 3/5/03 to have a lump removed from under his arm. I would love to talk to someone that has had this. The Drs. seem hopeful. But since his surgery 6 years ago he seems so tired all the time even though he didn't need or recieve any treatments other than the surgery. I'm at a lost how to help him. I would appreciate any help.

hi i don,t know when you,ll get this but I just had to tell you that my dad has stage 3 cancer of the esophagus and his dr.s are very hopefull , i,m not sure where your mom is recieving her treatment but I Thought I would share some of what my dad,s doc,s said..... #1 Do not pay attention to the stats no one cancer patient is the same and the include adeno carcinomas as well as sqamous cell so that makes it a lot worse. #2 a good support system can change someones life. #3Last but by far MOST IMPORTANT GOD CAN GET US THROUGH ANYTHING ! I just have to say that hope and faith keep us alive and I feel your mom can get through this with your help. I,m here if you would like to talk . jenn_if_er1999@yahoo.com

I'd love to hear the details. My husband was diagnosed as stage IV adenocarcinoma with mets to the liver on 3/6. After one round of chemotherapy the pain on his right side (liver) that had brought him to the doctor in the firstplace was totally gone. His blood work had improved and his liver was no longer big and hard. He feels great! He had a CT scan today and we'll get the results at his doctor's appointment on Monday. I've been praying for a miracle, but short of that, some improvement. Please tell me what you did and say a prayer for us while you're at it. Thanks! Judie

Wow- My dad was just (this week) diagnosed with Stage IV Esophagus Adenocarcinoma, in some nodes and liver. He starts chemo with a 'port' in two days. We are so at a loss as to what we can do to help this process along- ANY advice would be great.

I was diagnosed with esophageal junction adenocarcinoma (Stage 1V) with metastasis to the liver. The liver was noted to have so many cancerous tumors that they were too numerous too count. At that time I was also diagnosed with pulmonary embolism (blood clots in the lungs and legs) and Trousseau's syndrome (rare blood clotting associated with some cancers-no known survivors). I was hospitalized for two full months with half the time in ICU. I too could not have any surgery but underwent chemo and radiation. Just recently had my PET/CT scan and all was clear. Please share anything that you and your husband did as far as treatment protocol and home health habits. I would be interested to see if we had simiilarities in our story or if they are completely different.
