it comes from birch bark and I think one kind of nut hull. Inactivates tumor mitochondria (powerhouses) and should negate chemo resistance. In the test tube at least, taxol kills only %50 of cells, but betulinic acid + taxol kills %100 percent. C-statin, made from bindweed, is 100x more antiangiogenic than shark cartilage. check out www.lef.org and Fred's vites at www.ncrf.org. emergingmed.com has new trials. nutritionally, I like flax, borage, and fish oil. broccoli sprouts contain the protease inhibitor, sulfurophane. God Bless. I hope my "mitzvah" helps you. doc who cares

    Dear Drpoundsign:
Thanks for the info. I'm definitely going to check this out and utilize. I'm undergoing my 2nd session of chemo and my Ca-125 after surgery was 183 and it's already down to 13.4 which I am THRILLED about. I'm taking mega vitamins(multi, vitC,E,A & CQ-10) plus following a vegan diet, no refined sugars, caffiene or white flour. Basically no processed foods. I believe we need to assist the doctors in any way possible to "fight the beast" and about the only way we can is thru diet, exercise, mental attitude & prayer. Thank you for your advice and God Bless you for taking the time to help. Sue1

    Hi Doc,
Well, I haven't had any luck finding a source for the betulinic acid. I tried the web sites you suggested and also the betulinic web site itself. Do you have any suggestions? The health food stores locally didn't have a clue. Thanks, Sue1

I dunno. I posted those sites for just general helpful info. Might want to try brewing it from birch bark. I think almond husks have it, too.
